Self Feed Hoppers are a basic but reliable method of feeding pheasants and poultry, The item can hold approx 30kg of wheat or pellets. These classic blue hoppers are made from quality recycled fruit barrels. The lid is wide and can be easily filled, and the entire hopper is raised on shaped and treated wooden legs which provide long life usage and a broad base to provide good stability. The ex-fruit barrels are drilled for the legs and in the base for a spiral feeder nozzle, which is supplied. A spiral feeder nozzle is a cunning piece of kit which uses the action of a bird’s pecking to scatter food. The hollow spring fills with food, and when a bird pecks at it, the entire coil twitches and shivers, spreading a small quantity of food onto the ground.
