This type of feeder is commonly used for partridge laying boxes or for poultry cages for show birds, but it can also be used for rabbits. The twin compartments allow more than one bird to feed at a time. Once poured into the feeder, food trickles out of the hopper and down into the feed tray below. This box feeder has brackets for hanging onto wire, and also a metal lid that will keep most rain away from the food. It is constructed from long lasting galvanised steel and will hold approximately 2kg of pellets. To set it up, cut a hole in the mesh to match the opening of the box and hang it in position using the clips on the box. The birds can then reach through and feed while the box can be filled from outside.
