The Solway Trailfeeder is a Solway Feeders designed machine which can be filled with bird feed and towed behind an ATV. The driver controls the release of feed by a switch connected to the wiring loom, and a spinner plate underneath the machine scatters the feed behind.
By scattering feed along the maximum length of each feed ride and planning your entire feed route carefully, you will not only save time, but you will also see your birds become wilder with less flushing and a better spread over the guns.
The Solway Trailfeeder is now fitted with upgraded stub axles and bearings, and the strong polyethylene hopper is totally weather proof and designed to flex over rough ground. The black hopper has a recommended carrying capacity of 200Kg, and it can be easily filled through the hinged, waterproof lid.
Improved design on the 160mm spinning plate means that it now has raised edges to prevent spillages, and the galvanised steel chassis and mudguards are robust and long lasting. Powered by a strong 1500rpm 12v 70 Watt motor which runs off your vehicle's battery, we supply wiring and plugs to fit any quad bike, and can also provide Spares. We do not stock wiring looms for 4 x 4s or pickups.Connection must be made to a fused supply, 15 amp fuse rating.
Although the flow rate is fixed, the feed rate can be controlled by a simple push button switch, and the Trailfeeder casts a wide fourteen foot spread of food. The entire unit can be easily hooked up to a trailer hitch with standard ball joint fittings.
