The Quill Drinker is a popular self contained nipple drinker system often used for rearing game birds and poultry. The large triangular green reservoir has ten 180 degree drinking nipples which come ready installed, and the reservoir is fed with a traditional plastic fox valve.
The reservoir is fitted with a moulded loop which allows the drinker to be suspended from the fox valve, and everything you will need to set up your Quill Drinker is supplied with this kit, including cord, hooks, and 8mm tubing which runs from the valve into the drinker. A header tank and tubing which runs to the fox valve are not included, but we can supply 6mm bore rubber tubing which would be compatible, as well as header tanks.
Quill drinkers are very popular across the world because the sealed mechanism is simple and very hygienic. The fact that they are suspended above the birds and will twist and rotate as they are being used can even provide a good solution to boredom and feather pecking problems in larger flocks. If needed, this twisting can be inhibited by tying the drinker on one or both sides using the moulded holes.
The Quill drinker is simple to drain, and there is an easily removable cap at either end of the nipple line for this reason.
