This small bottle of pure liquid aniseed oil contains a pinch of crushed seeds to enhance the smell. Even the slightest whiff of this oil is enough to set your nose tingling, and it works as a magnet to game birds such as pheasants and partridges.
The fact that this oil has such a strong smell means that it can be sparingly mixed at a low concentration with up to five litres of vegetable oil to help it last longer. One litre of oil mixed with 100ml of aniseed oil should treat up to one ton of feed.
Once you have mixed a greasy and strong smelling oil based solution, you can stir it in to wheat or game feed before it is put into a feeder.
Pheasants will love the smell, and not only will it keep your birds on your patch, but it will also encourage roaming birds from elsewhere to stay.
We use this product on our shoot as part of our daily feeding routine (through ATV feeders and Static Automatic Feeders) as it offers excellent cost benefits over other products.
This product is supplied in a standard 100ml bottle, but it is also available as a Finger Pump Spray Bottle.
